From the outside it seemed small but once inside it was quite big. If you are in Rotterdam definitely worth a visit!

Also for this reason, as soon as we arrived in the city we decided to reach the maritime museum ⚓ proceeding immediately with the visit of the same. Arriving on the first floor, we started our tour with what turned out to be the most interesting section ever: "Offshore Experience - The search for energy". In this area, in fact, the visitor has the opportunity to learn more about the reality of the oil platforms, thanks to an effective guided simulation. On a special shelf (see attached photos), there are reflective bibs and ⛑ protective helmets (also of two different sizes) that give way to really empathize in the shoes of a ♂️ workman. An introductory video explains the main risks associated with working on these installations. Then we continue with the exhibition of various scale models of boats and structures (mostly platforms) related to the oil extraction activity. Interesting and well-groomed, however, the other spaces, in particular the one dedicated to the reconstruction of the environments of a ocean liner. The entrance fee costs 15 euros. Clean and manicured bathrooms. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED .
was a fun museum with different levels of involvement. definitely kid friendly. There are interactive areas that show facts and information about oil drilling and others sea adventures appropriate for all ages not just kids (im 25 and partner 26 and we still enjoyed it) tickets allow access to real ships/boats that are in the harbor outside.
I often visit this museum with my family at least a few times during the year for different exhibitions and always find something interesting for both adults and kids. Kids can also get on board ships parked outside the museum. Indeed, it's a very nice museum for families to visit any time of the year!
