  • I am a fan of painting and Vermeer.... But I was very disappointed.... There are no original tables... The guided tour was below just as much the Museum as the city:( We saw it as a waste of time and money... Better to visit it alone at your ease...

  • This is a Museum of painting that contains none of the paintings of the artist he celebrates. What for? Because apparently neither the city nor the State have the means to pay for these works today, which makes them in the hands of the American museums or at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. But this absence is compensated by a lively presentation of Vermeer's painting and the more intimate features of his works. As for example, the use of color to create light, which is not that of Rembrandt, or its symbols showing the feelings of love in a disguised way. One is often inclined to admire the girl with the Pearl because she made an appearance in the cinema, but we will learn here to appreciate the other works of Vermeer at their expressive value. The image here is really worth a thousand words.

  • This is a must if you´re into art history or into painting, even if you´re not into Vermeer (hopefully this is NOT the case). The old Painter´s Guild of Delft is pure history, a true mecca for painters, impossible not to share a tear or two while admiring it´s front or his historical inside. The house is in excellent condition and the presentations are packed with information and everything is historically accurate. Nice use of technology to display loads of information about the Guild, plenty to see. Vermeer Centrum is nothing less than amazing.
  • Nice small museum. 3 floors of exhibition and a museum shop (and toilets) on the ground floor in the former guild house. Good audio guides Every sign is in Dutch and English. We spent 1,5 hours here.
