Royal Palace Amsterdam, Amsterdam

Royal Palace Amsterdam was once a city hall and royal palace; today it's used by the Dutch monarch for hosting official events. Built during the Dutch Golden Age in 1665, the site features prominent paintings and sculptures created by distinguished artists of the era, as well as lavish Empire furniture from the early 19th century. Take an audio tour and hear about the history of the palace. Walk through the extravagant rooms and offices, filled with golden elements and brightly colored, highly realistic paintings. You'll encounter works by Flinck, Lievens, and Jordaens. Plan my day in Amsterdam using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

  • Amazing place for those who loves arts and history. Entrance was cost 10 euro. You can walk there on rooms, cabinets and see how furnished everything. Many old big paintings. Also mostly rooms is open and only some of them you can't come inside and just make photos near the door. Was not that much crowded on Saturday afternoon.
  • Lovely... it was orderly. Use the free and held easy to use recorded audio guide. It guides you through the palace & tell you about all that you're looking at. It is an interesting history that included French Naploean Bonaparte. It's a beautiful palace. The 10€ price is for all day in & out privileges. When I left, I gave my paid entrance ticket to a man who was outside with his son. The dad was considering going inside. I saved him 10€ & felt good for it. He was very appreciative.
