  • We were there years ago and found the exhibition quite nice. There's not too much to see, but sniffing the flavours is quite funny and in the end you get a free cocktail in the bar. A number of things have changed since the last time. There's an audio guide now and you get a shot liqueur to start. But you should not drink it right away, but only in a special cabin, where you can expect a special experience. So you have to use the Audio Guide on the one hand and the shot in the other hand, which is annoying if you also want to take pictures. In front of the cabin you are then employed and the promised experience is-well, expendable. This time we had apparently also chosen an unfavorable visiting time (in the evening). The bar was full and we had to wait an unfathomable hour and a half (!) for our cocktails. The two bartenders were totally overwhelmed and also left constantly to get this and that. We were very surprised that people here sit comfortably and celebrate Polterarbend. The bar is simply not designed for this, especially since there are hardly any seats. So better visit in the afternoon.

  • Decided to visit as it was raining and just happened to be 1.30pm when it opened for the day - so we were the only people there initially. Elected the ticket with a cocktail and free gift. Tour is sel...  more »

  • As expected it's a tourist trap. Self guided tour of the history of the house, they show all the different flavours available which is interesting with a smell test. The bar is very busy during the weekends, no where to sit, can get loud and the cocktails are average quality. Nice branded gifts available at the shop and good selection of bar ware.
  • One of the best brewery/distillery tours I've ever been on! The audio guide was great and I loved how interactive everything was. The displays were also unique and visually appealing with a lot of photo opportunities along the way. The drink at the end is also a nice finish. If you purchase the more expensive ticket you also get a small bottle of Bols to take home which is definitely worth the small price.
