Monumento Natural Semuc Champey Reviews
Questo posto è uno dei migliori visitabili in Guatemala. La strada per arrivarci è dura e faticosa anche in auto, ma la strada si apre su viste mozzafiato tra le montagne verdi e i campi coltivati con... more »This place is one of the best visitable in Guatemala. The road to get there is hard and tiring even by car, but the road opens to breathtaking views between the green mountains and the corn-grown fields. The day opens with the trip to the caves. Inside there is no electricity and you move with candles. The path is not simple and you have to swim in black and cold waters with the candle in your hand out of the water. Continue outside with activities along the river. You can dive up to 12 meters high and there is a long swing to dive into the river. The natural pools are wonderful, as well as the view from the mirador, but prepare for a real sledgeto to reach it. Without rock shoes you can't do anything, don't forget them.

I had a chance to visit Semuc Champey during my travels through Guatemala. It truly is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I've seen in my life! There are many separate pools for swimming and you can organize a tour through your hostel or a local agency. Check out the amazing aerial photos!
Beautiful place. The drive there was a little rough. There are people willing to shuttle you there. I would suggest buying some food to take there. Food is pretty limited. There is a 30 min hike up the mountain to get a good view of the water. 100% recommend.
