    An old domain owned by a family that apparently sold their rights to the Severin brand and closed up shop as producers of rum. Not a single little bit of anything seen helped us understand first hand....  more »

    What a wonderful find. We really loved visiting this historic plantation. It’s not that old but we really got a sense of history while here. It was very interesting to wander through the old house...  more »

    The distrillery has been closed down and its equipment destroyed. They still offer tours to show the beautiful area and give a little history lecture.

    Disappointed! The destillery does not exist anymore (since feb 2019). That was not written anywhere and we went here in hopes of seeing how they make rhum, but we didn't. They have lowered the price from 11€ to 9€ due to this but it ain't worth coming here to be honest. For this price all you get is a 20min walk in a garden (non-guided), a few rhums to try and a VERY DULL "train ride" in the end (maybe fun for kids below 8 yrs?). There were still Rhum available for sale though. Maybe it was once worth coming here but since the destillery is gone I do not recommend this place, sadly.
