  • Beautiful tower, beautiful church. We spent 12 hours in Zakynthos town and saw pretty much every church. Obviously, most are Greek Orthodox, with a few Catholic ones thrown in for spice. Every...  more »
  • Nice church, and architecture, has a nice tower before the church, and is dedicated to Ascension; at this time some procession will be held.  more »
  • It is located between two parallel central streets of the city, Tertsetes and Roma. The entrance of the church is on Terchetes. In the courtyard there is a bust of Antoniou Martellau, who was a teacher of Foscolo and Solomos. The architecture rate of the church is, as in almost all-the churches of the island, basilica. Because it doesn't have a large courtyard, it seems a little cramped between the adjacent buildings.
