  • Small but very interesting little museum with lots of artifacts accompanied with adequate explanation in English and Greek makes for a wonderful little history lesson of the ancient Crete and it's inhabitants. Only 2 Euro entrance.
  • Easy to navigate museum with artefacts of unique artistic value and archaeological importance. The finds come, mainly, from the Petras, Mochlos and Palaikastron excavation sites being dated to the 3rd and 2nd millenium B.C. The 1st millenium B.C. and roman remains from Sitia, Trypiti or Koufonisi are, also, noteworthy.
