  • In as far as the Greek orthodox Christian denomination, this is the epitome. One can only gain access as a practitioner, and by invitation only by a prelate body within mount Athos. Needless to say, mount Athos, similar to the Vatican is a state within a state, and they are governed by their own monastic laws and traditions - therefore here is no exemption from the above procedure.
