2003 was a milestone, since the shareholders of the company were increased, with the participation of Mr. Alexander Avataggelos, resulting in the increase of the financial capacity of the company. This is also the year when the company was renamed as DOMAINE SIGALAS S.A.
The wines are exported to Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Holland, England, Cyprus, Switzerland, Poland, Japan, Hong-Kong, Sweden, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Russia, USA and Canada.
Today, DOMAINE SIGALAS continues to implement its growth plan, based on the three principles on which it was created: a creative relationship with the traditions of the island of Santorini, technical savvy and quality.
Domaine Sigalas reviews
Excellent and informative tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, Pavlos. Wines were delicious and very well explained to us. Highly recommended. more »
Highly recommend visiting this winery. We chose the €50 tour and tasting, the tour consisted of about 20mins walking through the vineyards talking about the history of the winemaking on the island... more »
The worst food and service that I experienced in the four days on the island. The waitress explained the history of 7 wines in 45 seconds. The food was extremely overpriced for plain common island food. The service was terrible, the female waitresses were flirting with the males working there. The wine was average in taste. I don't recommend going there, other wineries on the island are a much better experience.
A must-visit in Santorini. The wines are excellent examples of their respective varietals, but it’s the food, setting, and service that take the Sigalas experience to the next level. Make sure to ask for Spiros when you’re here - as informative a guide as you will find, plus he’s an awesome guy with an infectious enthusiasm for Santorini and Sigalas wines. So good, we ended up coming twice in four days - and had the tomato salad both times as well!
