  • Important location for greek history. You will have the chance to visit the curch and a small museum. Make it on foot in 1h 20 min from Kalavryta train station. Taxi available, keep in mind you'll need to pay for waiting time.
  • An impressive monastery with great historical value in the history of Greece during the War of Independence. (1821). There, in 18.3.1821, the local rebels raised the flag of the Greek Revolution War. The monastery is opened to the public and it is located in the heart of the mountains, 4 km west of Calavryta. It is very inspiring place, and strongly recomended! don't miss also the Mega Spilaio Monastery located 10km north-east to Kalavryta!
