It's a great quiet beach which you must definitely visit. It 's a 15 minutes drive from Ellafonisi Beach. A very positive fact is that it's accessible with car. It has a small parking place. Very... more »
One of the best places to relax during the summer ! Aspri Limni (White Lake) is one of the secret beaches in Crete, that almost nobody knows. This is a small beach nearby exotic Elafonissi, almost 5-10 minutes by car. The beach has fine white sand and rocks in places and is surrounded by sharp rocks, reminding of a small whitish lake inside the sea. The beach is unexploited by touristic industry and remains an untouched paradise. We visit Aspri limni with windy weather and and while we listened to the waves behind the rocks the water in front of us was calm!! There are some umbrelas with seats for shade. Aspri Limni is a Natura 2000 protected area because it is the westernmost habitat of Phoenix theofrasti, the endangered palm tree of Crete.
A very good and secluded beach. Excellent for families that want warm and shallow waters. There are never any waves to disturb your swim.
