Archaeological Museum of Corfu
The Archaeological Museum of Corfu (Greek: Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Κέρκυρας) in Corfu, Greece was built between 1962 and 1965. The museum land was donated by the city of Corfu. Its initial purpose was to house the archaeological finds from the Temple of Artemis in Corfu. In 1994 it was expanded with the addition of two more exhibit halls that display the more recent finds at the ancient citadel of Corfu. A small museum but what it lack I extent, it made up for in quality. The display were brilliantly presented, very well documented and chronologically described. There we associated AV screens to give.... more »

It's not the biggest of museums but it's worth giving it a try. The ticket is only €6 so it's not expensive. You will need about 30 minutes to see everything. The exhibits are really interesting and some of them are really really well preserved and presented. The whole building is nice and accessible for everyone.

It's a good place to learn about some findings originated from Corfu and beyond. Don't expect to much, only 2 floors of artifacts. Good for an hour. But I suspect the museum of Asian art to be a bit more interesting than this one. Although you came here to learn about Corfu I imagine ;)
