We joined the Athens City Walk, Acropolis and Acropolis Museum tour. The tour provides an overview of the city, main ancient sites& the museum. Our tour guide Vicky is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I found some descriptions are bit too long and we were held in some sites longer than necessary. A map of Acropolis can be provided to guide us during the tour. Otherwise the tour is enjoyable and suitable for first time visitors.
The tour was generally good but was not organized well from a time perspective. We met at the main subway station and walked to Temple of Zeus. That was good. We then walked to a small cafe and had about a 40 minute break while the organizers mixed and matched new people to other tour segments and got everyone sorted and off. That was a waste of time. And it haunted us later. We finished the Acropolis at about 13::30 and then went straight toe the Acropolis museum. We should have skipped the cafe in the morning and had 30 minutes for a lunch break after the Acropolis tour but before the museum. As I tourist I value my time and felt that it had been wasted. This tour needs better organization.
