Ocean Village, Gibraltar

4.3
Nestled between two marinas, Ocean Village features a mixture of entertainment, eateries, shops, and the world's first five-star hotel fashioned from a cruise ship. Test your luck at a casino, go sport fishing, or simply relax with your favorite cocktail. The area's many restaurants serve various international cuisines, including Indian, Brazilian, and Italian, while a rooftop wine bar offers great views of the marina. Beer aficionados should visit the Irish pub for draught and bottled brews, plus Guinness Pie. • Nice apartment though riddled with ants. The balcony doesn't get much sun so check the direction it faces if renting a holiday apartment. The pool area is fantastic a good selection of pools including one to swim in but that being said it's popular for families so if you don't have children look for a quieter area. The location is great walking distance from the airport and handy for the town (casemates square) there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the ocean village area.
  • Ocean Village is a collection of restaurants (two Asian, an Indian, sports bars, Irish pub). All of them have outdoor sitting. There is a casino and a fancy hotel which used to be a cruiseship. Even if you don't stay there I would recommend seeing it. I has been nicely renovated and has a nice rooftop restaurant. Like most places in Gibraltar: morning hours are shady, afternoon and evening hours are nicer to sit out in the sun. Dec., Jan. And Feb. It is only warm enough to sit out on sunny calm days.
