  • If you want to get a feeling of Roman life, this is also an opportunity. Even though most of the stones of the amphitheatre have been lost, it shows the scale of the roman endeavors outside of Rome...  more »
  • Wonderful to find an amphitheater this far north and in such an evocative location--complete with the preserved remains of a Roman city--this far north!  more »

  • An excellent idea by the tourism department now, is the staircase just opposite to the ticket counter as soon as you enter. That ways, you can go up to see the amphitheatre in all its glory before heading down to see the finer details. The original city wall, once ran along the edges of the amphitheatre, exactly crossing through this viewpoint!
  • It's a cool place if you're into history and just to see. It's not expensive at all. €4 per adult. You can walk all around and go underneath the amphitheater. Sometimes there are actors dressed as gladiators, and they "fight". There are also restrooms here.
