In 1635, a Renaissance-style town hall was built on this site by Count Anthony Günther. It was removed in 1886 and the present building was completed in 1888 with elements of the neo-Renaissance and neo-Gothic styles. There is a German restaurant in the basement, the Ratskeller Oldenburg.
To the south is St Lamberti-Kirche and to the west is Oldenburgisches Staatstheater.

Approval procedure for trade sits last. .. It is worse than in GDR times. The best way to get Hartz4.. If you want to become self-employed, you end up in the mills of democracy with the prospect of zero success. The city awards permits a bit to your liking. I now have legitimate doubts as to whether this is not bribes. Why else are certain pizzerias allowed to spread without any problems, while newcomers have bad cards? In addition, too much is being built and demolished here recently. As in Donnerschwee and now at the train station.. On top of that, the city here actually determines at what price certain houses may be sold. It is now interfering too much in the market economy.See original
