  • We enjoyed the demonstrations by the artisans, walking through the homes and seeing how life used to be hundreds of years ago. Some indoor, some outdoor experiences.  more »
  • This is an open air museum which shows the way people lived in the old days in different parts of the Black Forest. The houses and the stalls have all been rebuilt in line with their very original features. They can all be visited inside. You can also appreciate the different styles of the houses according to the different areas of origin. The overall experience is nice though not the most thrilling attraction you can think of. The museum also hosts some animals and the opportunity to see people dressed in the very traditional attire of the Black Forest.
  • Magnificently preserved and fully furnished Blackforest style farmhouse and outhouses, displaying life as it was in olden times. Animals, herb gardens, grain and saw mills, old farm machinery and even a hearse from early times is fascinating to see. We'll worth taking a few hours to go back in time. A gift shop, playground and restaurant is on site. 👍
