Allow for plenty of time - the entry ticket includes also the Herzogliches Museum and the Eckhof Theater. I easily spent five hours in total looking at all the displays, with a break in between. more »
When I visited, there was only one gallery open. The rest was under construction. Also I didn't understood all the German, which caused following the wrong arrows. So, yeah, I think they can do better. When you're there, you should definitely buy the audioguide. Totally worth it.
A must see! Gotha did not get destroyed during world war 2, and thus maintained its historic charme.
