Berzdorfer See, Gorlitz

I recommend this place to everyone, especially sports fans. The lake has an excellent ca. 12 km bike route around, where you can also roller-blade and skateboard, two white sand beaches on opposite sides, as well as a yacht harbor. It offers breathtaking views of sunsets and sunrises and it currently has hotel facilities and a number of small restaurants to grab a snack or a drink. All those places are well maintained and they tend to get a bit crowded at some weekends but are still a good choice to spend a day or two with a group of friends or alone. Parkings are provided for a small fee around 1-2 Euros andyou can also take a bus from Goerlitz-Zgorzelec.
