Pfarrkirche St. Peter und Paul, Freising

St. Peter and Paul is a parish church around 15 minute walk from Marienplatz. It is a bit isolated from other attractions you are likely wanting to see in Freising. During our visit, there was a food market taking place outside the church. This was fun to see and we enjoyed trying a local style fried apples topped with sugar. We also enjoyed the statue monuments outside the church as well. The interior of St. Peter an Paul is delightful. The decadent ceiling frescos by Johann Baptist Zimmerman are very nice and complement the various Rococo features of the church well. I liked viewing the ornately decorated main altar as well as the side chapel altars. Overall, we were surprised at how much we enjoyed the St. Peter and Paul church in Freising. This is an impressive Bavarian Rococo church in Freising that is well worth making time to visit if you enjoy seeing historic and beautiful churches during your travels.
