Unter den Linden, Berlin

#11 of 90 in Historic Sites in Berlin
Historic Walking Area · Hidden Gem · Landmark
Saunter down the tree-lined paths of one of Berlin's most well-known boulevards, Unter den Linden. Comprising the grassy pedestrian area between two roadway lanes, the street stretches east to west from the Stadtschloss royal palace through the historic city center. Along the way, you'll find historic monuments, trendy shops, and traditional cafes. Visit the street's oldest structure, the Zeughaus, to admire fine Baroque architecture. Then tour the German Historical Museum before ending your walk at the notorious 18th-century Brandenburg gate. If you visit in the early summer months, you'll be able to see the linden trees in full bloom. Arrange to visit Unter den Linden and other attractions in Berlin using our Berlin online trip maker.
