Burg Hohenbaden Reviews
Gedeeltelijk mooi gerestaureerd en ander gedeelte druk doende met restauratie. Geweldig uitzicht over natuur en stad. more »Partly nicely restored and other part busy with restoration. Great views over nature and city.
Cuesta subir a lo más alto, pero las vistas lo merecen, todo el valle de Baden-Baden. Es menos turístico que el monte Merkur y yo creo que más agradable de visitar. Aparcamiento gratuito. more »It's hard to climb to the top, but the views deserve it, the whole valley of Baden-Baden. It is less touristy than Mount Merkur and I think it's nicer to visit. Free parking.
It's a hike, but the views are amazing! You can see for miles. The castle lets your mind wander to a time long ago. We were there before it opened so we didn't eat at the cafe, but it is still one of the best stops we made while in Germany.
If you love old castles and ruins, or just incredible views, this is a place for you. The castle is in ruins but there is enough there to really envision what it must have looked and felt like to live there. As a bonus there is no admission and a restaurant there. There was very few people there when we went through it. There is however, no real information about the castle ruins on site. It is a self "tour" so do your research first if you like history. The view is incredible from the tower and other vistas on site. HINT: If you don't feel like a hike to get up to the castle, simply drive up to it the back way.
