Perlach Tower, Augsburg

4.5
Climb Perlach Tower, a 70 m (229 ft) tall watchtower built in the 10th century to get a panoramic view of the city-- but be prepared for a bit of a workout. The entrance to the tower is easy to miss, but you can find it on the side of the church. You will need to climb a good deal of the way up the tower on its narrow steps to get to the ticket office. Make sure to plan your climb so you are not at the top when the tower bells ring, as it is extremely loud and can hurt your ears. Take a look at our Augsburg route builder to schedule your visit to Perlach Tower and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.
