Right next door is the Augsburg Zoo. After the cash register, one walks along an avenue with ball robines and jewelry beds, which on this day also served as a photo location for various wedding couples. The Botanical Garden is divided into a sink, stone, rose, natural and a pharmacist's garden. Our highlight was the Japanese garden, with water basin, pond, waterfall, stepping stones, stone lanterns, Japanese maple etc. In the Rose Garden, a rotary player entertained us. In the pond there are also jetties, which you can sit on and observe the fish, dragonflies and ducks. In general, there are benches and loungers everywhere, where you can settle down and enjoy the idyll. Also worth mentioning is the plant dwellbeing with its high humidity, which contains the tropical plants, water lilies and also a small aquarium with African fish. The Botanical Garden is a great place to simply relax.
Very nice place to visit with children. There is a cosy play ground for kids and parents can enjoy their time in biergarten. more »
One of the most beautiful gardens I have ever been, everything is structured so nicely, with details for each and every plant or flower, a marvel of garden architecture. Parking is free, low ticket cost, and a bar that has really good and fresh food and sweets.
A wonderful park well worth visiting in Augsburg. Some interesting aspects to the park including the British telephone booth. The Japanese garden is simply stunning. For wedding photographers or those looking for portrait pictures this is a great place. There is a beer garden which I did not visit and a museum area too. The park is suitable for children and has suitable wheelchair access.
