The house is very beautiful and thank you for the cartels in French. On the other hand, it is an absolute waste these huge windows in the middle of the rooms that prevent us from realizing the volume of the pieces and who have no interest in the theme of this museum, incomprehensible. It's a pity that no painting has a cartel. It is also a pity that the beautiful collection of porcelain (notably Delft bicolor) is not more highlighted with bright cabinets. It is also necessary to restore the beautiful painted harp and highlight for example more period costumes or scores played in the large living room for example. Apart from these reserves do not miss the tiled room with its surprises. Very kind staff in any case.
Because the major sights are relatively close together, you can easily reach this major site. I regard this as a must-see because it immerses you in the history and grandeur of Aachen during its time ... more »
Its a house originally built in 1662, but was renovated in Rococo style in 1786. The house is still maintained as how a normal house would have been in 1700s! 'Pharmacy' can be seen free of cost even before reaching the ticketing counter. Rest of the place is ticketed.
It is like visiting a house from the 18 century. The personal use to follow you every where you go but don't take it personal, they do that for everyone. It has an small inner yard where you can take a coffee for 1.50 EUR. It is a nice place if you like the art and your are curious about how the people lived in that times.
