Tanje Village Museum, Tanji

A private open-air museum near the sea, Tanje Village Museum proudly presents the country's natural and ethnographic history. Covering an area of 20,000 sq m (236,800 sq ft), the community-oriented site shelters more than 60 different plant species amid a lush, verdant environment. Displays of handmade crafts, such as instruments, paintings, and blacksmithing products, offer insight into Gambia's culture, family structures, and social hierarchies.
