Regarded as one of the oldest sites in the country, Stone Circles of Senegambia shows the secret history of ancient societies. The site consists of four distinct groups of stones; all told, it covers an area of almost 30,000 sq km (11,538 sq mi) with over 1,000 separate monuments, burial mounds, and tumuli.   • Astounding place to experience. Learned about ancient African cultures who built those stones. You can get up close to the stones and there is no graffiti. The villagers take great care to respect them.
