Saint-Paul de Vence, St-Paul-de-Vence

Must see · Historic Walking Area · Tourist Spot
Saint-Paul de Vence is among the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera, well known for its modern and contemporary art museums and galleries, such as Fondation Maeght. This spot inspired many French artists, including Marc Chagall and more recently Bernard-Henri Lévy and Arielle Dombasle. The town's olive oil mill was historically the source of much of its prosperity. Visit the Esperon Tower, the Dauphin and Royal Bastions, and the medieval town walls, all of which once protected the town. • This is a place where you can get the vibe of an old historical town. The narrow streets are very clean and full of art galleries which adds a great vale to the city. Definitely a good place to go to....  more »
  • Loved this tiny town. Full of quaint shops and beautiful small stoney inlets. Gorgeous for pictures and lovely restaurants, although don't expect friendly service if you're English!  more »
