  • 1863, "the Goule" collapses. Saint-Chamas is cut in half and deprived of water. After a long and costly clearing, a wooden aqueduct (pictures below) was built in order not to stop the irrigation of the land and awaiting the construction of a masonry aqueduct. Long 62 meters long and 23 meters high it is built, starting from 1868 and was called aqueduct of the plan. The clock dates from 1902, it was necessary to be visible from both parts of the village. (decision of the Municipal Council of 10 January 1899). To be noticed, (it is necessary to climb), the entrance and the exit of the waters of the Canal.
