Built at the end of the Middle Ages, Chateau d'Aulteribe was altered and restored in the second half of the 19th century during the Romantic Period with many of the medieval building features added in again. The furnishings of the château, include tapestries from Flanders and Aubusson, Chinese porcelain, and paintings from the 17th to 19th centuries.     Great castle/mansion to see in the area. Very well preserved interiors with furniture and art from the times. Only guided tours and only in French, bur there's a short booklet available in English with basic info on each room. Interesting to visit even if you don't speak French.
