Rungis Market, Rungis

#3 of 9 in Shopping in Val-de-Marne
Rungis Market is the world's largest wholesale market for fresh produce. In fact, fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, cheese, and fresh flowers are sold here every day in quantities so large an entire train station and highway exit have been built to serve it. You may have a hard time visiting this site without planning ahead. Keep in mind no passenger trains or buses go here, as well as most taxis, and you need a card to enter. Despite these troubles, Rungis Market is a piece of heaven for any travelling gourmet.

From this venue, you may be able to see the Eiffel Tower and the Tour Montparnasse on the horizon before entering. Inside, the market serves clients from some of the best restaurants in Paris, and only the freshest, highest quality products are sold.

It is recommended you look into a private Rungis tour guide, who could help you arrange transportation and entrance cards. Work out when and for how long to visit Rungis Market and other Rungis attractions using our handy Rungis travel planner.
