Musee Picasso-Paris Reviews
I visit most museum's with no real expectations, so I am rarely disappointed. This museum does not have anything that will blow you away, but the collection was decent. Variety of sculpture, paintings... more »
The museum opens to the diversity of Picasso's creations: paintings, sculptures, drawings. Nevertheless, I thought I would see more of the master's work. The priority is given - it seems to be two exhibitions: 1) the exhibition "Calder/Picasso" on the 1st floor, interesting, dedicated to the exploration of the void by the two artists. until the end of August 19 2) the exhibition "Picasso obstinately Mediterranean" in the basement (at the locker room), which highlights the landmark place of the Mediterranean region in the life and creativity of Picasso. until early October 19. Nice biographical photos of Picasso Levels 2 and 3 of the museum were closed. Interesting and questioning visit on the creativity and meaning of the works, the deconstruction and reconstruction of reality, the subjective...
Must go if you love art!!! The museum was very nice and very interesting. I knew I would like it a lot but was even better than I expected it. Take it in little by little to understand it even more and appreciate it even more. At the end, you can go and sit back for a little bit in the small park there. It’s very peaceful. After you leave the museum just walk around this area of Le Marais, it’s got a very special feel with really nice restaurants and bars.
Interesting presentation of Picasso’s work. To create a different view on his art, the museum is proposing thematic temporary exhibitions like recently Cadet VS Picasso. Overall I was a bit disappointed for the price asked at the entry, I was expecting more major pieces of art from him and something a little more interactive without to take their audioguide. The space is also strangely organized. ... big rooms almost empty, small ones full of pieces... visit walking direction not clear.
