The stained glass windows at Orléans Cathedral depict the story of Joan of Arc who attended evening Mass in this cathedral on May 2, 1429 while in the city to lift the siege. Built in the Gothic architectural style from 1278 to 1329 and partially destroyed in 1568, the cathedral was moderately rebuilt from 1601-1829. Despite renovations, some ancient remains that date back to the fourth century can still be seen in the crypt. • This church is as great 👍🏻 if not better than Notre Dame in Paris. Must be visited. The stained glass windows tell the story of Jean de Arc. And it is lit up at night . It’s free too  more »
  • A great example of gothic architecture similar to Notre Dame. A very impressive sight at the end of Rue Jeanne D'Arc  more »

  • Very beautiful cathedral, don't forget to look up, the tops of the towers are unusual and open. Looks like it is restored recently. Well worth a visit.
  • Beautiful place, worth visiting no matter if you believe in God or not. It's a piece of art. The paintings inside, sculptures, stunning. There is even the underground parking.
