German War Cemetery, Orglandes

In Normandy, you may want to visit and appreciate the historical significance of a German War Cemetery. There are several in the area to see, making the activity quite easy to plan. One of the more famous military graves is La Cambe, located close to Bayeux, which presently contains more than 21,000 German military personnel of World War II. Adjacent to this cemetery is a peace garden with 1,200 maple trees.

Another popular site to visit is Orglandes War Cemetery, located on the northern edge of the village of Orglandes. These burials come from summer 1944, immediately following D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.
