Cascade du Rossignolet is a waterfall flowing over basalt rock (volcanic rock) that symbolizes freshness and purity. For over a century, this waterfall has attracted tourists to the calm and serene setting. The tour allows you to discover two waterfalls: the waterfall Saut du Loup and the waterfall Queureuilh Rossignolet. This is an excellent outdoor activity for families with children or for couples seeking romance. The environment is cool and shady on the path covered by thick foliage from the forest, and there are magnificent views of the Puy Gros and the surrounding mountains.     We parked near the cemetery above Mont Dore and walked up to the cascade. It was quite busy but worth a visit.  more »

    It’s a 20 minute walk, slightly uphill, to this waterfall through pleasant countryside. Very peaceful and quiet and the spray from the waterfall was good on a very hot day. Well worth a short visit.  more »
