La Tania Ski Area was developed to host the Albertville Olympics in 1992. It continued to operate after the Olympics and became a quiet, village resort. The village has all the necessities: hotels, rental apartments, restaurants, grocery, and bank but that's about it, so it is a peaceful forest retreat. You’ll find three winding pistes that travel through the forest to the village below. The village is also the location of one of the best skiing schools in France, École du ski Français.
