    It took a while to find as it is well away from the road and you need to walk right through the forest to find the launching ramp itself. On doing this you will walk past the three storage bunkers...  more »

    Site of a fixed launch ramp for the V1 (doodlebug) rocket. Two large walls gently rise up and pointing directly at London!!! There is a large gap in between these walls and that would have housed the metal launch frame. Thankfully, this was never used to launch any rockets. The Nazi's soon chose to use their mobile launch platforms that could be set up quickly, pretty much anywhere they needed. There are also several curved buildings along the walk. Unfortunately they have been blocked off!!
