Just past VC Corner Cemetery in Fromelles this beautiful spot was in the heat of war a first aid casualty clearing station and holds the graves of several who didn't make it. Surrounded by weeping... more »

If a cemetery could be called beautiful this is one. Very pretty with moat and willow trees. Sad but beautiful at the same time. Just a short drive from Fromelles.

Situated within a glade of willow trees, Le Trou Aid Post Cemetery, the site of a former regimental first aid post, is a beautiful final resting place for 350 men of the British and Commonwealth forces, more than half of them unknown. Less than a kilometre away is VC Corner cemetery and the Australian Memorial Park at Fromelles.
