#12 of 18 in Things to do in Fecamp
Specialty Museum · Hidden Gem · Museum
Dedicated to Newfoundland fishing culture, Fisheries Museum is home to an exhibit of beautifully made scale models, authentic fishing boats, and traditional tools and instruments. All the items you see represent the great adventure of the sailing men of Fécamp, who set forth to fish for cod in the icy seas of Newfoundland. The museum also portrays the shipbuilding techniques inherited from the Vikings as well as herring fishing and the art of smoking fish over the "boucanes". Before you leave this site, be sure to stop and admire an impressive collection of marine paintings. Take the guesswork out of planning a Fecamp vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.
