The area once supported a diamond mining industry, but it was soon discovered that there were few diamonds and a great deal of hot springs. These thermal spring waters made Divonne a popular spa town in the 19th century; however, the city didn't begin to grow significantly until 1945. Im here for business trips on regular basis and I do like visiting the village after business hours. Nice restaurants, shops and atmosphere is very friendly. Obviously best time to visit is August to.... more »

It is a nice resort town for a romantic holiday or for an educational or business event. The lake certainly adds the allure the town and it is accessible by public transport from Geneva. more »
