An ancient Gothic church built at the end of the 15th century, Eglise des Dominicains is no longer a place of worship, but is still a major architectural work of the mendicant order. The "Altarpiece of the Dominicans" is now on display at the Unterlinden museum, but a notable piece by the same artist remains at this location--Martin Schongauer's masterpiece "Madonna of the Rosebush," painted in 1473. Beautiful building. It is a pity we didn't have time to visit the museum inside.

The curch is beautiful from the outside. Once you enter, you have to pay 2 euros to see a big empty room with a very interesting painting. Still it's not worth the price. It's already weird to pay when entering a church but it's also an expensive one. Take pictures from outside and keep discovering the wonderful Colmar.
