Overlord Museum - Omaha Beach, Colleville-sur-Mer

I liked it and although at first I thought it was quite expensive (8.4 euros full price, 6.1 euros for reduced price) for what it was, I do understand the importance of keeping the memories of this terrible yet important time alive. There were a LOT of vehicles used in the Normandy battle, which was cool, but it was a bit too much after a while. Plus there were so many people wanting to go in, and the beginning of the museum is so tiny that we were all stepping on each other and we couldn't read the signs which was frustrating. But the pictures of veterans and their stories taken from the 1980s to 2018 were beautiful and heartbreaking. We will truly never understand what it was like, even though one may know every detail...

It was a great time capsule of D-Day, and everything that was involved. There were many many artifacts from the German soldiers, which was fascinating as well. Their audio helped make the experience even more authentic. There seemed to be a few museums in the area, but I would definitely recommend this one! If/when we go back, we will certainly be coming back to this one in particular!!!
