  • Jonathan and Magalie are a warm couple who are passionate about their woods and amethyst-rich veins. The visit has a pedagogical introduction to the geology of the place and the region, the story of.....  more »
  • Giving an excellent rating to a place one has not seen is odd but bear with this. A chance viewing of an icon at the Puy du Dôme made us think ‘amethysts??’ and internet search. Could not at first...  more »
  • Visit, explanations and digs at the top! Everything is perfect, clear and fluid along the way of this small family farm that respects the fauna, flora and man. The place is magical and you don't see time passing, whether you're small... or big! I'd love to come back.

  • Offer of overrated visit, continuation of prohibitions, taboos stated at all times: not go here, not touch this (foam, tree, crumbly walls, amethysts expertly scattered ...). If we understand the substance, the form is not at all there and the children (or even adults) are reminded to order regularly until the end of the visit where they are told not to get too close to the boxes of stone storage placed on the ground on a tarpaulin af in to avoid dust, "a visit taking place this afternoon!"). We make it clear that we are on a private site whose owner means that he wants to pass it on to his children, which can be understood but leaves a feeling of unease because of intrusion. Very little to see, minimalist excavations in an area made up of embankments of excavations and receiving, and for good reason, some indigent pieces of amethyst of which it is recalled that only a small piece calibrated, subject to the watchful judgment of the master of can be collected per person. The most interesting to see is not shown: if understandable restrictions seem to prevail, frustration inevitably wins the visitor who can only consent to it. Especially since what cannot be shown and seen is perfectly accessible on the site... internet with supposedly palliative virtues. so! Given the number of visitors morning and evening (up to 40 per half day), we come to understand that the vein is not where we think it is. In short, total disappointment: not worth a visit, the lay recounting the personal history of the couple owner, supplemented by geological explanations, not masking the indigence of the show "offered" and the offer. Nb: to advise against, in addition, to people with difficult mobility.
