Containing the Gavrinis tomb, Gavrinis Island is a small island with a megalithic monument notable for its abundance of megalith period art of the European Neolithic era. This uninhabited island is composed of granite. The stone pyramid burial chamber has art-lined walls reaching 50 m (164 ft) in height.   • On the site it said there was an option for an English tour. This was not the case when we called to book tickets. The whole tour takes 2 hours, and only 5 minutes of that time is spend in the cave...  more »
