This fun museum, Medieval History Center of Azincourt, was built in 2001 to transport you back in time and let you experience the Middle Ages. You can enjoy exhibits about the Battle of Agincourt, view artifacts from the Middle Ages, listen to experts lead conferences on fascinating historical times, and join video rooms where interactive characters present you with battle. Documentary films play in a continuous loop about weapons, art of war, armor, and more. You can even attempt to lift the weight of swords, axes, and maces, or try to pull a longbow.

The museum also offers audio guides for a tour of the battlefield or an English-speaking guide. Plan to visit Medieval History Center of Azincourt and other customer-reviewed, writer-recommended Azincourt attractions using our Azincourt attractions planner.

  • This museum is closed! The website tells you it's open but it's being reconstructed. The new buildings appear complete but the internal fit-out continues. Looks like it may be finished just in time for the winter season! Nice restaurant just down the road but otherwise a huge disappointment.
  • It is being rebuilt to what looks like is going to be a high standard and big but, when we went there towards the end of June 2019, even the "pop up" museum was closed. Nice place on the corner for coffee though and if you follow the sign for the battlefield, there's a good tower been built that you can look out over the whole of the battlefield area. Hesdin town is just up the road for lunch and there's a very big market there on a Thursday morning.
