I wanted to try this experience at all costs and I had to calibrate our trip to be in Kuopio on Thursday. The sauna, which can hold up to 60 people, is very old and the heat is generated by coal. You feel like you're in a smokey. We were hesitant but bravely we bathed in the lake and really needs much more than the cold shower because it allows you to stay in the sauna for a longer period. After the three saunas and 3 bathrooms, a buffet dinner in the adjacent restaurant cheered by local musicians.View original -

During the preparation of our trip I had read about this sauna, but the very few reviews left me with some doubts. We decided to try anyway and we didn't regret it. Unique experience! The sauna, which is located in a beautiful place, far from the center but served by buses, opens on Tuesdays and Thursdays and can hold up to 60 people. Separate changing rooms and showers and then only sauna for everyone. It is possible to stay in costume.As true Finns we alternated the sauna and the dip in the lake even if for us the water is quite cold. Absolutely to try!
