Kadriorg Park, Tallinn

4.6
#1 of 125 in Parks in Estonia
Home to a royal palace, Estonia's presidential residence, and a host of museums, Kadriorg Park serves as the primary green space for the greater Tallinn area. The park's network of paths and trails will take you through thick forest, past decorative ponds, and around lush garden plots. You'll find several art museums displaying works ranging from historical to contemporary. Visit the unassuming personal cottage of Peter the Great of Russia and the ornate 18th-century palace he built for his wife, Empress Catherine. Don't miss the angel-topped memorial to the Russalka, constructed to honor a Russian warship lost in 1893, which is one of many statues throughout the park. • Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the park. We walked in from the tram stop and even the walk is lovely; so many ways you could explore. We were mainly interested in the art and exhibitions, along with the historic buildings, and saw plenty of all of those. Very pleased to have made the time to visit; definitely worth your while getting out of the centre of Tallinn if you have time to do so. And get the Tallinn card! So much is covered by it :)
  • Tallinn Estonia’s beautiful park for strolls and resting to take in the inner city nature. Plenty of wide walkways to ensure everyone has enough space to relax and let the mind wander. Great for any day of the week!
