Isla Lobos, San Cristobal

#7 of 11 in Parks in San Cristobal
Island · Nature / Park
A rich variety of animal life awaits you on the soft white sand and beneath the crystal clear waters of Isla Lobos. Hike across the sand to view the tortoises, blue-footed boobies, iguanas, and sea lions that dot the landscape. Climb to the top of the hill to see a statue of Darwin. Snorkeling will yield close encounters with sea lions, tropical fish, manta rays, hammerhead sharks, and red crabs. The sea lions here are very sociable, so don't be afraid to say hello. • This boulder strewn small island is home to nesting frigate birds and blue-footed boobies. The birds are tame and allow you to see them up close. You can circumnavigate the small island in an hour.  more »
