Stramberk Castle, Stramberk

Štramberk is a small town in the Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic, next to Kopřivnice. It lies on the slope of a forested lime hill, dominated by the Trúba castle tower. Because of the town's location, its many historical buildings and a unique collection of timbered houses from the 18th and 19th centuries, the town has been declared a municipal reserve and is nicknamed the Moravian Betlehem. Nearby there is the Šipka Cave where Neanderthal child bone remnants were found.

  • Wood houses original architecture on the way up. Lovely walk up to the castle and beautiful view. We did not go up the tower, as limited with time, but the walk itself is worth  more »
  • Forget about the castle itself. It is enough to take the walk (either stairs or a small circle) to the castle and enjoy the views to Czhech landscape. Have a beer and get back to the main center for.....  more »
  • The tower offers a breathtaking view of Štramberk. It's not so easy to climb all of its stairs, but definitely worth visiting.
